This project involved redeveloping a brownfield site within a busy industrial estate, where continuous access for neighboring properties was crucial. Effective communication with all stakeholders played a pivotal role in the project’s success.

Existing deep foul and storm sewers were needed to be diverted as part of our contract prior to any excavation works for the generator foundations being undertaken.

We were also responsible for the construction of crane pads for lifting of all generators and ancillary components. Due to the sloping nature of the site and the frequency of traffic, these works involved a large amount of aggregate to be used to construct the pads in accordance with the temporary works design. Much of this work had to be undertaken during night shifts and on completion of the lifting activities, the aggregate was reused on this site and on a neighbouring site of ours, meaning that there was no waste.

We are pleased to report that the project was completed incident free, demonstrating our commitment to safe and eco-friendly practices.
